Evaluation: Question 6
Question 6: What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Editing: The colour of the image has been edited to a better colour grading, this makes the shot look more proffecional and fit better with our genre.
Camera: Low angle, this shot shows the audience that the main character has a lot of power, our main character is looking down at the camera to show he is looking down on you (the audience). This shot is set up really well as the composition is out main character with a plain grey brick wall background. We have used rule of thirds really well as you can see in the image above, this creates a lot of tension and we wanted the audience to feel like they was physically getting looked down by out main character.
Sound: Throughout making the opening sequence together we worked out the perfect sounds to out over each shot, as you can see with this shot we wanted the sound to be powerful and thriller.
Editing: Titles really made this shot, the way they merged in with the wall so it looked like it was written on the wall. Also the way that the writing moved across when out main character walked down the corridor at the scene.
Camera: The camera moves smoothly as we filmed a moving shot as the camera followed the character as he walked rapidly down the corridor, we set the tri pod at eye level so it made the audience feel like they was at the shot and moving with the character.
Sound: we really thought about what would make this shot be 10x more thirllery as our main character walked through a dark, industrial, grey brick wall corridor, we picked a thumpy thriller tune that would fit perfect with the tension we was trying to create throughout the sequence.
Editing: The titles really made this shot, the way they mood and camafaldge into the wall which creates a mysterious, detective image towards this certain shot.
Camera: This angle works really well with the lighting in the background, thenlighnfrom the machinery makes our character a silhouette figure which creates a thriller look. The line from the wall creating a path type angle which you can see is leading our character to the camera. Keeping the camera still at eye shot as our main character walks past is brilliant because after getting closer and closer you start to see his mysterious face emotions which creates suspense and really connects to the audience.
Sound: we really tried to make the sound throughout the sequence work and fit well with everything that was happening on the screen, we wanted the audience to really connect with the sequence and be interested and intrigued to see what the film is about and what happens, sound played a rather large piece of this goal as without sound it wouldn't be no where as good as it is.
